Jonathan P. Ibsen

Partner

Case Highlights

Hastening recovery for creditors. Recently Jonathan argued successfully for the consolidation of more than 100 non-debtor entities into two debtors’ estates in re American National Mortgage Partners. This resulted in a substantial savings for the debtors’ estates, which greatly increased the pool of assets for recovery by the creditors and accelerated the confirmation plan process.

Helping recoup millions in Enron bankruptcy. While working for one of New York City's prominent bankruptcy law firms,  Jonathan acted as co-counsel for  the Enron Corporation during it's Chapter 11 case.  He assisted in the commencement and litigation of over 1,000 avoidance actions on behalf of Enron, seeking returns of transfers amounting to more than $650 million.
